The Agronomy Officer plans and coordinates implementation of agronomy activities to ensure healthy crop growth and optimal production.
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Horticulture, Plant Science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in the horticultural sector
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Amharic
Duties
- Assign work to employees and monitor results
- Check and analyze scouting, irrigation EC, and pH reports
- Manage and control the steaming team scientifically
- Choose chemicals and organize the spraying schedule
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment
- Provide training based on identified skill gaps
- Monitor greenhouse climate and report deviations
- Develop standard operating procedures for agronomy activities
- Evaluate workers' performance
- Ensure adherence to the 'Green Trust' business protocol
