The Earth Work Forman will supervise site clearing, excavation, and heavy equipment operations while ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in directing heavy equipment operators
- Ability to work with surveyors to verify site dimensions
Duties
- Supervise site clearing, topsoil stripping, and bulk excavation
- Direct excavator, bulldozer, loader, and roller operators
- Coordinate dump truck haulage and dumping operations
- Verify cut-and-fill depths and benching levels with surveyors
- Monitor daily earthwork progress and identify challenges
- Report delays or site issues to supervisors
- Ensure proper compaction layers and slope angles
