Environiqa Engineering PLC is seeking a technical specialist to manage GIS datasets, support digital field data collection, and provide IT troubleshooting services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, GIS, or related field
- Practical experience with GIS software or digital data collection tools
- Strong computer skills particularly in Excel and data processing
- Basic understanding of geographic coordinates and GPS technology
- Good communication skills in English and Amharic
Duties
- Prepare, edit, organize, and maintain GIS datasets
- Support digital field data collection using mobile applications
- Configure digital forms and data collection workflows
- Support GPS/GNSS-based field surveys and geographic asset mapping
- Clean, validate, and manage spatial and non-spatial data
- Assist with web GIS platforms and cloud configurations
- Troubleshoot computers, Android devices, and field equipment
- Provide basic IT support and software installation
- Prepare maps, reports, and progress summaries
- Supervise field data collection activities as needed
